This page is for information about the 325th Marine Strike Group, the Starfleet Marines detachment aboard the USS Trinity River.

We are part of the 2nd Batallion (Texas), 3rd Brigade (SFI Region Three), 2nd Division (central North America) of the Starfleet Marine Corps. In keeping with the theme of the ship's name, we are known as the "River Rats." The 325th is now a Combined Arms unit.

The River Rats motto is "Semper Mollis" which translates as "Always Flexible." Our unit logo is shown at the top right of this page. The colors of the River Rats are black, red and green. The unit flag is a tricolor flag with green on top, black in the middle and red on the bottom with the unit logo in the center.

The Marine of the Year award and other recognitions by the 325th MSG are presented annually at the USS Trinity River commissioning anniversary celebration each February. On rare occasion special awards will be made at a Region Three Summit or other event.

Ed Dravecky organized and ran our Toys For Tots campaigns in 2003 and 2004. Chanda Norman organized and ran the 2005 campaign.

The designated charity of the Starfleet Marines and the 325th MSG is the Toys for Toys organization. We conduct our annual toy drive every October at the Dallas Comic Con in Plano, Texas.

We would like to thank Ben Stevens, Mark Walters, C2 Ventures, the crew of the USS Trinity River, and the Sci-Fi Volunteer Core Group for helping to make this event such a success every year. 2006 will be our fourth consecutive annual drive to help the children of North Texas.

The 325th was founded by Erik Cowand and he served as OIC from 2003 to 2005. Dan Dreesbach became OIC in 2005. Chanda Norman became OIC in 2007. (More to come.)
